Hardkandy are DJ duo Simon Little and Tim Bidwell from Brighton, and their new album ‘Last To Leave’ is a mix of chilled out hip hop and funky dance tracks. It’s a mix that works well and the album is packed full of catchy, upbeat tunes such as ‘State Of You’ and ‘Brown Eyed Girl’ and slower, more relaxed songs like ‘Dizzy Dumb’ and wonderfully dreamy, ‘Loose Ends.’
‘Last To Leave’ incorporates jazz, soul and funk influences- combining them with hip hop and rap to produce a release that grips hold of you and refuses to let go and features appearances from Lo Fi Allstars, and local folk hero, Terry Callier.
