Hundred Reasons are a band with a lot to live up to. Voted best new band of 2000 and with six top forty singles their third album ‘Kill Your Own’ can not afford to disappoint their hardcore, devoted following of dissatisfied teenagers who worshipped the group before white man afros were a fashion
must-have.
Tracks such as ‘Feed This Fire and ‘Live Fast, Die Ugly’ hark back to the older, louder, more mainstream Hundred Reasons, but on the whole, ‘Kill Your Own’ is a slower, more heartfelt album which takes them away from the spotlight of fame and draws them back towards the underground scene.
The album is a reflective, more melodic offering than past albums, with more focus on the tunes and lyrics than before, resulting in a release that is totally different yet unmistakably familiar to old and new listeners.
