Loose natural rhythms, gentle beats and ambient melodies make for soothing yet distinctly uninspiring listening in this newest release from Canadian artist SOLIDIZE.
Fast-paced drumbeats are mixed with reverberating synths,
with the occasional deep, husky vocals by singer Sarah Michelson. Unfortunately though, the intermittent bursts of noise from Michelson don’t alleviate the tedious and monotonous drone of the music, with one track seamlessly merging into the next without any oblivious change in the style, tempo or beat. It’s the kind of music most commonly heard in chill out rooms at the end of a very long night when people are so out of it they don’t seem to care what garbage they listen to.
