Miri Ben-Ari looks like she doesn’t wish to play second fiddle to anyone.
Carving out a niche as “The hip-hop violinist” with the help of Kanye West and just about the complete “A” list of hip-hop for her debut album, Miri has certainly created the hype (and a Grammy) to push this single. Sadly, repeated plays of this track left me cold though the video will sell this I am sure because Miri is visually appealing and a fine musician.
The combined talents of Anthony Hamilton and Scarface are not able to lift this any further than a bottle of Cristal that was opened yesterday. Maybe Miri should do a track with The Game and have John Cale produce it.
