Our Rating:

Belgian electro merchants GOOSE bring us a grinding disco pulse and insistent four to the floor stomp with single release ‘Black Gloves’. It’s a tune that you could run around walls to - and I’ve got the footprints on my fridge door to prove it! It serves as a wonderful reminder of Belgium’s third area of expertise, not usually acknowledged with such widespread appreciation as the nation’s excellent beer and chocolate-making skills.

This hip-shaking future funk blares out siren-like across the dance floor, flooding the repetition with increasing intensity until the spaces between the beats eventually disappear completely. I was hooked by the warped bump n’ grind of this three minute journey through dance psychosis which captured my captivated headlight stare-out eyeballs in its beaming flood of electro craziness - a split second before it hit me like a no-brakes ten ton truck

Looping like a helicopter that finds itself airborne with one or two blades missing, this is definitely the work of eccentric gabber freaks, perhaps a little insensitive to the head-crushing properties of their own funk-foaming definition of house music - but all the better for being so. If your feet beat you to the verdict, then this one’s a sure-fire winner. Ask your trainers!!
