Review: 'KAT VIPERS'
'Summer Bloody Time'

-  Label: 'Py Records'
-  Genre: 'Pop' -  Release Date: '27th November 2006'

Our Rating:
Part West End musical part Burlesque fanfare, Kat Vipers will take a bit of getting used to. There is Kate Bush style weirdness and then there is this – I’m sure that the more arty among us will love the mental pianos and the incomprehensible vocals but personally I don’t. With a voice that sounds like a cross between screeching cats and a witch singing jazz I don’t know who’s ears this will delight.

As a massive fan of the song Summertime I have to say that I loved the music for the one cover on the EP – just a pity I couldn’t understand a word the singer was saying. It does have to be said though, amongst a plethora of indie God wannabes, at least it’s different.
