Review: 'DANANANANAYKROYD'
'SOME DRESSES b/w GENUINE LBS'

-  Label: 'Jealous Records'
-  Genre: 'Indie' -  Release Date: 'November 6 2006'-  Catalogue No: 'Vinyl 7 inch and download'

Our Rating:
What a lovely single. Pronounce it dana, nana, naykroyd and dance like a fool. It's a sort of punked over Tortoise with mulitvoiced yelling as punctuation. Two drum kits and two guitar parts add sweet lyrical precision to a wonderfully messy A side (some dresses) and a slightly more restrained and heavier thrash provides an entertainingly havoc strewn B-side (genuine pounds).

Jealous Records is the Leeds-based micro-label with the huge-talent roster that includes THAT FUCKING TANK. James and Andy of the TANK have also lined up with vocalist Giles of DANANANANAYKROYD as KILL YOURSELF.

Small world, great music. Glasgow's DANANANANAYKROYD also field drummers James and Calum, guitarists David and Duncan and bass player Laura (on a good day)
