This EP from York band LYNCHPIN starts impressively. Opener “Seven7” shows distinct talent with a sound similar to that of the Lostprophets only with a little more grunt they are sure to be a success. “My Hands Tied” is slightly weak, mainly due to over use of the melodic sections and “Nursing Bleeding Knuckles” suffers from bad production. The EP is brought to close with “In the Interest of Absolution” which brings the pace, intensity and quality back.
This EP does sound slightly cobbled together but it does show promise for the future.
