Review: 'DICO, TINA'
'Give In'

-  Label: 'Finest Gramophone'
-  Genre: 'Pop' -  Release Date: '16th October 2006'-  Catalogue No: 'FINEST11CD'

Our Rating:

This is the third single from Danish singer/songwriter TINA DICO’s acclaimed album ‘In The Red’, and ‘Give In’ is possibly the strongest of a very euphonious set of songs indeed!

The pure pop radio friendliness of this release is no foil for artistic weakness. As the solid sentiment unfolds, the craft and talent are evident in a flowing and accomplished ditty that breathes soulfully through the gentle acoustic rhythm to reveal a grown-up myriad of polar opposites. Mental pictures fight for attention in your mind’s eye as the soothing delivery urges you to accept what has passed, and continue onwards and upwards.

The chiming, rhyming middle eight bounces introspective possibilities off the popular music corridor before the cyclical structure loops and aches its way into the midst of your own heartache in a successful attempt to soundtrack it. From a very fine album, comes this very fine slice of pop heaven!
