Review: 'GOOSE'
'LOW MODE'

-  Label: 'SKINT RECORDINGS'
-  Genre: 'Dance' -  Release Date: '5th February 2007'

Our Rating:
It seems the cool thing for a band to be doing right now is including synthesised beats, bangs and other electronic noises – think Simian Mobile Disco, Hadouken! and Filthy Dukes. I have the same kind of relation with this style of music as I do with white wine! Some I love and will drink lots of (or listen to – to bring it back to the music analogy), some I hate and some I simply can not decide but will listen to/drink when the surroundings and amount of already consumed alcohol is at the sufficient level!

This offering from Goose (yes, the name is taken from the Top Gun film, apparently it’s a film of the band's youth) falls safely in the zone marked ‘love’. Bought to us by Fat Boy Slims record label Skint, it will be the Belgian bands 3rd release.

‘Low Mode’ is undoubtedly an irresistible slice of indie rave, seamlessly hopping from dance beats to heavier rock riffs. It combines the right mix of scratches, claps, beats, keyboard and bass to create a fantastic track that is guaranteed to have glow stick yielding indie kids waving their arms and heading for the dance floor!
