What an unsuspecting mix ‘Tongues in knots’ is. With the vocals of Tom Woodhead from Forward Russia this is a fascinating piece of music but leaves the listener wondering “did that really happen or was it just a bad dream?”
Lyrically this track is well crafted and the electro/strings mix is interesting to say the least. However, it begs the question what Tom Woodhead adds to this track and whether it is all just a big play on the potential novelty value or not.
Innovative enough , ‘Tongues in knots’ is easy on the ear, but as far as guest vocalists go maybe Yes Boss would be better advised to look further afield than just another Dance to the radio signing.
