Review: 'SOMETREE'
'Hands And Arrows c/w Notion'

-  Label: 'Dance To The Radio'
-  Genre: 'Rock' -  Release Date: '5th March 2007'-  Catalogue No: 'DTTR 027'

Our Rating:
It’s safe to say that the Leeds based Dance To The Radio label are on a roll.   Having established themselves with hot names like ¡Forward Russia!, Pigeon Detectives & Yes Boss they are now set to conquer the world. Well, Europe anyway.

Sometree are from Berlin although they could pass for Yorkshire lads with no difficulty. The single heralds a series of limited 7"s from what the label call “favourites from around the world” . The series is called ‘Listen To The Silence’ , another Joy Division reference. If they are all up to this standard I want the set!

Both tracks here are dynamite - think Radiohead during their trailblazing 'Bends' days and you won't be far off the mark.

The A side is taken from the forthcoming album 'Bending The Willow' while 'Notion' dates from a 2003 album ('Moleskin') released. DTTR have done the British public a great service in saving this from the slush pile.

There are plenty of Indie bands ploughing the same furrow as Sometree but the sound is still vital and electric when its done as passionately as this.

Available on limited 7" vinyl and on digital download. Grab it.
