Review: 'Kingskin'
'Humpin' Mojo'

-  Label: 'Zebra 3 Records'
-  Genre: 'Rock' -  Release Date: 'May 7th'

Our Rating:
Kingskin are a band who can truly play. Some of the guitar work on this EP is taut, exciting and technically admirable. Likewise, a couple of the songs here really stand-out: Bottom Dollar and Fat Mamma Got Soul in particular. Both contain solid hooks and gruff-throated melodies that should appeal to any fans of early 90's alt-rock or grunge. Bottom Dollar's similar title to a Screaming Trees song only gives away their influences all the more!

Sadly, I can't see this record doing too well simply because their sound is very dated in comparison to today's scene. This is no-nonsense balls-out rock music - if that sounds your sort of thing then help these guys out and buy their CD.
