Review: 'DEATH IN PUBLIC'
'BIOMETRICS (single)'

-  Label: 'Ru Records'
-  Genre: 'Post-Rock' -  Release Date: '24th December 2007'

Our Rating:
Any band that includes a tune called ‘I Really Hate Coldplay’ in their set list is alright by me.

Sadly it’s not to be found on this third single from the three piece shoegaze band from Lancaster and sadly too the record is not much of a calling card for the band due to a frankly abysmal production.

It features two tracks that are like a Mogwai type post rock workout with singing bits added.

The vocals in question sound camp and Northern; the drums could've been lifted off Joy Division's 'Unknown Pleasures'.

The whole thing is a bit of a mess because of a dense mix which is presumably aiming for a My Bloody Valentine like blur effect but misses the target by a mile.

The one minute plus of swirling ambient noise at the end of the second track (Motion Sickness) is the highpoint.
