Review: 'DOUGALL, ROSE ELINOR'
'Fallen Over'

-  Label: 'Scarlett Music'
-  Genre: 'Indie' -  Release Date: '23rd November 2009'

Our Rating:
Rose Elinor Dougall's third post-Pippettes solo offering has hints of Pulp about its composition and its sound, with an organ weaving its way through a strolling bassline and some bittersweet incidental guitar licks. Its tempo is upbeat and the vocals are easy on the ear.

However, there seems to be a lot going on, and it's too easy to become distracted by it all and forget about the lyrics. Does it matter? Probably not. The song rushes along and before you know it, the final chorus has come to an abrupt end. Concise, catchy, it's what the pop single is all about.
