Well, it might not be out for a while, but I've had a few tracks come my way as a taster.
'Simple Yet Wise (There Must Be One)' is a collision of post-punk and contemporary indie, with a spacious lead guitar line binding the sections together as it lurches into a more driving chorus.
There's a piano in the mix in the alt-pop stonker 'Working,' but Keane it ain't: there's no attempt made to disguise the northern accent in the vocals and it's an honest, soul-filled performance all the way. In short, the straightforward, no-messing northern attitude comes through strongly, although it's anything but grim, with some well-considered harmonies thrown in.

'How Are You?' is a longer and more expansive composition, which develops from a gentle guitar harmonic to a breezy and anthemic chorus.
On the strength of this pre-release sampler, the Leeds four-piece's debut release is an accomplished effort, and one that deserves to gain them a substantial fan-base beyond that their gigging to date has a achieved. Ones to watch for 2010?
