Our Rating:
Sidestepping my urge to get started on the debate as to whether two songs remixed a number of times actually constitutes an EP, the lead / title track is a cracking slice of uptempo electro disco. One of, if not the, standout track on their recent album, 'Staring At the Ice Melt,' this was always going to be an obvious single choice, and, unencumbered by the mediocrity of many of the album tracks, it really does work. Welding indie vocals to an 80s-inspired club beat that drives a neo-retro synth backing track that's pure analogue fuzz, it's a perfect example of indie / dance crossover.

The Curtis Vodka Remix is actually pretty damn groovy, centering around an insistent, buzzing bass, that's almost a drone reminiscent of Suicide, but the Snack and C'Mish remix really is toss and best avoided.

Similarly, the slightly flaccid white-boy indie funk with synths that is flipside 'Mission' is irritating in the way a Hot Chip remix of a Hard-Fi track might be, and the same applies tenfold for the M83 remix of the same.
