Review: 'Butterfly Fan The Inferno'
'Sunset Scavengers / i Coma'

-  Label: 'BFTI Records'
-  Genre: 'Rock' -  Release Date: '27th August'

Our Rating:
The Birmingham quartet have been together for a number of years and have experimented with various different styles and set ups. Their return with new double A-side single “Sunset Scavengers/ i Coma” demonstrates their versatility as a band and showcases a new anthemic sound.

Track 1 “Sunset Scavengers” boasts a powerful guitar that can be compared to the likes of Queens of the Stone Age. A breakdown with minimalistic drum beat and strong layered vocals creates the perfect lead up to the anthemic chorus which then leads into a powerful instrumental to end the song.

“i Coma” sees Butterfly Fan the Inferno experiment with a more melodic tone in contrast to track 1. The prominent opening drums can be compared to the likes of Guns of Brixton and Dub Be Good To Me, and the guitar sounds to Black Sabboth ‘Iron Man’.
With this song building comparisons with world renowned bands but still keeping their own individual style, it makes it instantly a thoroughly enjoyable track that will appeal to a vast audience.

These two tracks compliment each other perfectly and are sure to cause BFTI to break into the mainstream with a permanent fixture in the UK Rock scene.
