Review: 'WATERS'
'For the One'

-  Label: 'City Slang'
-  Genre: 'Indie' -  Release Date: '12th September 2011'-  Catalogue No: 'SLANG50007'

Our Rating:
On the one hand, it's nothing new: 'For the One', the debut single from WATERS, is a burst of alt-rock with a poppy edge, a big fuzzy bass and big, fuzzy guitars driving the whole thing that's built around a chorus that's as catchy as you like. You know, the kind of grungy pop The Pixies dealt in. And that's what makes it so thoroughly enjoyable: the formula's familiar, but it's well executed, and it's hard to resist a big fuzzy bass and big, fuzzy guitars driving the whole thing that's built around a chorus that's as catchy as you like.

I'm in.
