The EP opens with Hell Kitty in which Missy LePink stakes her claim to be the psychobilly Imelda May with properly sleazy lyrics sung over a great walking double bass that's being played rather surprisingly by Psychobilly legend Doyley from The Klingonz/Celtic Bones etc. In the 20 plus years since I first saw him play has always been a guitarist, so to hear him kicking it on a double bass that sounds like it's in much better condition than the last one I saw his old bass player Strangy wielding last year was a bit of a surprise. Perhaps that's why he is listed as Philip Doyle on the cover. I never knew he had an actual first name, well the only person I ever heard call him anything other than Doyley was his dad at a Celtic Bones show many years ago! But either way it's a great tune.

Next on is the brilliantly witty Queen O'Jack which is a great retort to a typical Psychobilly beau who's offering his woman everything he has, only he ain't got Jack worth having and well as she comes from Jack as well you know what's gonna happen as the wrecking pit opens up and swallows them.
This single closes with a cover of Wally Willette and the Polk Brothers' Pink Elephants: a great old bopper that gets a nicely souped up treatment. Let's face it, who hasn't sat in a bar long enough to start seeing Pink Elephants? This tune should be rockin' a joint near you soon as should this EP. I look forward to the album that is somewhere in the pipeline.
