The press release describes London foursome All She Wrote as ‘UK rock beasts’, and their debut single ‘Weathered’ as ‘an engaging slab of heavy alt-rock’ that they ‘spew out’. This probably conjures images of violent mythical beasts as is befitting of metal muthas who profess to making ‘an appealing meld of post-hardcore and alternative rock’. You’d be mistaken, though. Instead of alternative rock, think alternative to rock, and the kind of beast we’re talking about is nothing more threatening or scary than a grumpy badger.
