Review: 'Driven'
'A Breakdown of Character (EP)'

-  Genre: 'Rock' -  Release Date: '15th October 2012'

Our Rating:
Aaagh! Squealy guitar note hell! And so begins ‘The Fool’, the first track on Driven’s debut offering. After the initial horror, chugtastic riffage and battering ram bass drumming blasts in but the squeals persist, and then tortuous arpeggiated guitar runs proliferate in the middle eight and man it’s nasty.

Not to be confused with the Connecticut party band, the Harrow quintet hammer through the five tracks solidly and all the rest, but... the bottom line is that while Driven may be appropriately named, this is nothing more than some sub-Metallica schtick. They ratchet up the cliché guitar heroics another notch with every song and frankly, it’s not so much The Unforgiven as the unforgivable.
